What are Cutting Agents and Why Doesn’t Gas Use Them in Their Vapes?

Gas Disposable Vapes and Gas Cartridges are regarded as some of the absolute best on in this industry today.  A lot of that’s due to the fact that our vape oils are 100% hemp-derived, so they contain no cutting agents.  But, what exactly are cutting agents that other hemp companies use, and what do they do to the product, as well as the person vaping them?  Let’s find out.

    What’s a Cutting Agent, Anyway?

A cutting agent is a dilution agent.  In other words, it doesn’t really serve an important purpose in terms of the value of the product, but instead, dilutes the product to make it weaker without changing the product volume.  Cutting agents used in vape oils exist to maintain the right vape oil consistency while diluting the potency of the actual cannabinoids and terpenes.

Commonly Used Cutting Agents in Hemp Vapes

Now the fun part, going cover the most commonly used cutting agents that you will find in vaping products.

    #1: MCT Oil

MCT oil is a natural oil derived from coconuts, standing for “medium chain triglycerides”.  MCT oil is not “bad” in and of itself – it’s commonly used for cooking.  Also is considered a very healthy source of fats.  But, when added to vape oil, it does act as a dilution agent, hence, it doesn’t add value to your vaping experience.

    #2: Propylene Glycol (PG)

An alcohol derivative, propylene glycol (PG) is used in lots of products we consume daily including processed foods and personal care products like shampoo and lotion.  PG is commonly used in nicotine vapes, providing the right consistency to a vape oil to make it “vape-able”.  But, in hemp-based vape oils, it’s not necessary since the hemp extracts alone offer the ideal vape-friendly consistency.

    #3: Vegetable Glycerin (VG)

Vegetable glycerin is a fatty alcohol that is very viscous, and the other agent commonly used in nicotine vape oils.  Again, VG serves no valuable function in hemp-based vape oils.

    #4: Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a cutting agent that was commonly found only in black market vaping products for a while.  If you remember the scare throughout the vaping industry because of vaping-related pneumonia a few years back, vitamin E was the culprit ingredient.  It’s very dangerous to inhale, and even can lead to serious respiratory problems.  Fortunately, any legitimate hemp company will not use vitamin E in their vaping products.

Why You Won’t Find Cutting Agents in Any Gas Vapes?

At Gas, we refuse to use cutting agents, period.  We know that our customers deserve nothing but pure hemp compounds when they vape our cartridges and disposable devices.  Using zero cutting agents allows us to achieve the benefits below.

Benefit #1: Perfect Purity in Each Puff

We talk a lot about purity in the hemp circuit – the purer the product, the better.  We go to great lengths to seek out products that contain no impurities in their lab reports, and pure vape oils are ideal as well.  Our vape oils contain only pure cannabinoid distillates and terpene extracts, so you’re getting nothing but the naturally occurring compounds found in the hemp plant.

    Benefit #2: Allergen-Free Formulas

We recognize that some people may have allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients commonly used as cutting agents, such as the ones listed above.  We don’t want any of our customers to suffer from unpleasant symptoms just because they want to vape their favorite cannabinoid.

    Benefit #3: Potent Hemp Effects

It’s inevitable that adding a cutting agent to, say, a milliliter of hemp vape oil will reduce its potency, meaning that each puff gives you less of the ingredients you’re looking for (cannabinoids and terpenes).  As a result, you need to vape more to get the effect you want, and this isn’t very cost-effective in the long run.

Gas Vapes: Always 100% Hemp That You Can Look Forward To!

Gas truly is proud to say that our vaping products are free of cutting agents and any other kinds of additives.  We want our customers to know they’re getting just those pure compounds of the hemp plant that they accounted for.  You can see in our third-party lab reports that we’re working with only the purest and cleanest hemp extracts possible, all to provide that potently pure product you deserve.  Plus, this ensures top-quality levels, coupled with federal compliance.
